Our Commitment to Every Golden Retriever Den Puppy

At Golden Retriever Den, the health, structure, and long-term well-being of our puppies are our highest priorities.

Golden Retrievers are a beloved and intelligent breed, but like all purebred dogs, they can be predisposed to certain hereditary conditions. Responsible breeding begins with careful selection of parent dogs, proper health testing, and transparency with families.

Every puppy we place is raised in our home environment, receives routine veterinary care, and leaves with a written health guarantee for your peace of mind.

Health Testing and Breeding Standards

Before being included in our breeding program, our parent dogs are evaluated for breed-specific conditions. Health testing may include appropriate screenings for:

• Hip and elbow integrity

• Cardiac health

• Eye health

• Genetic conditions common to Golden Retrievers

We do not breed dogs with known disqualifying hereditary conditions. Our goal is to reduce risk and strengthen the long-term health of the breed through responsible selection.

Documentation of health testing is available upon request.

What Our Health Guarantee Covers

Each Golden Retriever Den puppy is:

• Examined by a licensed veterinarian before leaving our care

• Up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations

• Dewormed on schedule

• Provided with a complete health record

We provide a two-year health guarantee covering severe hereditary or congenital conditions that significantly impact quality of life.

If, within two years of purchase, a licensed veterinarian diagnoses a life-altering hereditary condition directly linked to genetics, we will offer one of the following:

• A replacement puppy of equal value, based on availability

or

• A partial refund of the original purchase price, determined based on documentation and circumstances

All claims must be supported by written veterinary documentation.

What Is Not Covered

Our health guarantee does not apply to:

• Illnesses contracted after the puppy leaves our care

• Conditions resulting from injury, neglect, or improper supervision

• Parasites or minor treatable puppy conditions

• Issues caused by improper diet or overexertion

• Cosmetic or minor faults that do not affect quality of life

Golden Retrievers are active dogs, and proper exercise and weight management are essential to maintaining joint health.

Buyer Responsibilities

To maintain the validity of this guarantee, the buyer agrees to:

  1. Have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup or delivery

  2. Follow recommended vaccination and preventive care schedules

  3. Provide appropriate nutrition and maintain a healthy weight

  4. Ensure safe containment and responsible supervision

Failure to follow basic veterinary care guidelines may void the guarantee.

Our Ongoing Support

Our responsibility does not end at placement.

We are available to answer questions regarding nutrition, development, training, and general health throughout your Golden Retriever’s life.

We stand behind the puppies we raise and are committed to supporting every family who chooses Golden Retriever Den.
